Gossamer // 2016–2017Designed by Tori Green
Gossamer was produced as an ongoing KCAI graphic design departmental assignment that required a deliverable every week. Graphic design students in every grade were asked to pick one word and produce work based on that word in whatever medium they wanted. The word I picked was gossamer, which by definition means something super fine and delicate, like a spider web or the material of a wedding veil. The original gossamer from which these meanings come from is the fine, filmy substance spiders excrete to weave their webs. I created an improvisational piece every week that exemplified my chosen word and expanded upon the creations I made the previous week.
